Highlights from the 2018 Brompton Alps Tour
In 2018, RideTHISbike led a small group of adventurous Brompton riders through the majestic Alps, exploring Switzerland, Italy, and France by folding bike. The tour combined scenic climbs, breathtaking descents, and rich cultural experiences across three countries.
Riders pedaled past crystal-clear lakes, through charming alpine villages, and over legendary routes like the Simplon Pass and Great St. Bernard Pass — all on their compact, travel-ready Brompton folding bikes. Each day brought a new challenge and a new story.
Between rides, participants enjoyed local cuisine, artisan chocolates, and relaxing evenings in mountain lodges. The compact nature of the Brompton allowed seamless train transfers between regions, turning an epic cycling journey into an elegant European escape.
This guided adventure remains one of our proudest international tours — a perfect example of how portability meets performance for riders who love to explore far beyond city limits.
