2018 Guided Brompton Tour – BWC Edition

Overview: In 2018, RideTHISbike led an exclusive Brompton owners' adventure beginning in London at the Brompton World Championship. Riders celebrated the event, then journeyed by ferry and train through Holland and Belgium, cycling past windmills, canals, and chocolate shops.
Participants stayed in four-star hotels and enjoyed a mix of urban rides, countryside trails, and ferry crossings. Highlights included the Kinderdijk Windmills, Antwerp, Bruges, and Amsterdam’s scenic bike routes.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Friday, July 27: Meet in London near the BWC racecourse, check into the hotel, and enjoy a welcome dinner.
Day 2 – Saturday, July 28: Attend the Brompton World Championship at St. James’ Park, Buckingham Palace, and The Mall. Overnight ferry to Holland.
Day 3 – Sunday, July 29: Arrive at Hook of Holland, cycle past the windmills to Schiedam and Rotterdam, and travel onward to Antwerp.
Day 4 – Monday, July 30: Explore Bruges and Ghent, sample Belgian chocolate and beer, and return to Antwerp for the night.
Day 5 – Tuesday, July 31: Travel to Amsterdam, bike through the city, and enjoy a group dinner.
Day 6 – Wednesday, August 1: Visit Edam’s historic cheese market, then ride to Zaanse Schans before the final dinner in Amsterdam.
Day 7 – Thursday, August 2: Breakfast and farewell; conclusion of tour.

- Land cost: $2,995 per person (double occupancy)

Final Notes: Due to logistics, only Brompton folding bikes were permitted. Safety was prioritized at all times, and itinerary adjustments could be made for weather or travel conditions.
