The IF Reach LX combines full-size sport-bike geometry with 20-inch wheels, 18 speeds and front and rear suspension. It is quick and responsive on the road, yet Pacific's Integrated Folding system lets it transform into a compact package in about three seconds.
This is not a current-production bike pulled from a warehouse catalog. It is one immaculate white new-old-stock IF Reach LX, displayed on the RideTHISbike showroom floor and available for purchase. Its sculptural frame and uncommon folding mechanism make it a genuine conversation piece, but its drivetrain and suspension were designed to be ridden.

A folding bike built like a sport bike
Pacific developed the IF Reach from the performance-oriented Reach platform. The compact wheels keep the bike agile while its 53/39-tooth double chainring and 11-32-tooth nine-speed cassette provide a broad 18-speed range. A trailing-link front suspension and adjustable rear suspension distinguish it from conventional rigid folding bicycles.
Fast Integrated Folding system
Folding was central to the IF Reach design. Instead of placing a conventional hinge across the main frame tube, Pacific's patented Integrated Folding system uses two solid stainless-steel tensioning bars. The left bar remains connected and guides the two halves of the frame as they fold. The right bar releases at the front to initiate the fold.
When folded, the wheels align and are held together magnetically. This lets the folded bicycle roll instead of requiring the rider to carry its full weight.
