Advance Purchase Credit represents a customer credit with RideTHISbike. It is not a bank account, investment, savings account, gift card, or stored-value financial product.
Customers may make voluntary, non-refundable advance payments toward future purchases at RideTHISbike. Those payments are recorded as Advance Purchase Credit and may later be applied toward eligible purchases in accordance with this policy.
Plain-English Summary
Advance Purchase Credit is for customers who want to build credit with RideTHISbike before choosing exactly what they want to buy. It can eventually be applied toward any product or service RideTHISbike offers, including bikes, e-bikes, accessories, service, rentals, or tours.
It does not reserve inventory, lock in a price, guarantee that a specific model will remain available, or create a withdrawable cash balance.
How Advance Purchase Credit Works
- Minimum deposit: $25.
- Maximum customer balance: $10,000.
- Deposits may be made using any payment method RideTHISbike accepts at the time of payment.
- Customers may make additional qualifying deposits over time.
- Available credit may be applied toward any product or service RideTHISbike offers.
- When a purchase is made, available Advance Purchase Credit is applied toward the purchase, and any remaining balance may be paid using any payment method RideTHISbike accepts at that time.
What Advance Purchase Credit Does Not Do
- It does not reserve a bicycle, e-bike, accessory, rental, tour, or service appointment.
- It does not lock in current pricing.
- It does not guarantee that a specific model, color, size, promotion, or discount will remain available.
- It does not create a financing agreement.
- It is not layaway.
- It is not redeemable for cash except where required by applicable law.
How This Differs From Interest-Free Layaway
Advance Purchase Credit is flexible. It is best for customers who know they want to buy from RideTHISbike in the future but have not chosen a specific bicycle yet.
Interest-Free Layaway is different. Layaway is for customers who have already selected a specific bike and want RideTHISbike to hold that bike under the terms of the layaway policy.
- Choose Advance Purchase Credit if you are still researching, saving gradually, waiting for new models, or trying to avoid financing.
- Choose Interest-Free Layaway if you already know which bike you want and want that specific bike held for you.
Expiration
Advance Purchase Credit expires five (5) years after the customer's most recent qualifying deposit unless a longer period is required by applicable law.
Refunds and Cash Redemption
Advance Purchase Credit deposits are intended solely for future purchases at RideTHISbike. They are not refundable and are not redeemable for cash except where required by applicable law.
Program Changes
RideTHISbike may modify or discontinue the Advance Purchase Credit program at any time for future deposits. Changes to this policy will not affect Advance Purchase Credit previously accepted except as required by applicable law.
RideTHISbike also reserves the right to decline additional Advance Purchase Credit deposits if a customer's balance has reached the maximum balance, if the program has been modified or discontinued, or if RideTHISbike determines that accepting additional deposits is not appropriate under the circumstances.
Compliance with Applicable Law
RideTHISbike intends for this policy to comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws. If any provision of this policy is determined to be unenforceable or inconsistent with applicable law, that provision shall be interpreted or modified only to the extent necessary to comply with applicable law. The remaining provisions of this policy shall remain in effect.
