Brompton folding bike dealer

Cobalt blue Brompton H6L type folding bike with black extremities and fitted with Extended Seat Post, C Bag and Eazy Wheels: $1754.00

Cobalt blue Brompton H6L folding bike fitted with extended seat post, C Bag and Eazy Wheels

The Brompton H6L is a 6 speed Brompton outfitted with rain fenders and H Type handlebars.

6 Speed Drive
The 6 speed drive mates the low maintenance 3 speed Sturmey Archer internally geared hub with a simple yet effective Brompton external derailleur and 2 rear cogs. This combination offers a wider variety of gears; yet, lowers the drivetrain's weight and keeps the derailleur well off the ground (away from debris).

Other Noteworthy Features
This H6L is outfitted with an Extended Seat Post, luggage block on the head tube (below the handlebar stem), C Bag luggage and Eazy Wheels.

Extended Seat Post
Designed for riders with an inseam of 33-35", the Extended post is a free alternative to the Standard seat post and offers an additional 60mm of elevation. The trade off is that the saddle is correspondingly higher with the Extended post when the bike is folded (making it more of a challenge to fit the folded bike into something like the B Bag for transport). If this extra folded height is an issue, consider switching to the Telescopic post, which can be raised higher but can be retracted much, much lower.

Luggage Block
The luggage block is a superior way to carrying items on your bike. Rather than mounting a basket to the handlebars (which tends to throw off your balance when turning), the luggage block allows you to mount luggage directly to the frame on the head tube just above the front wheel. Since the head tube does not turn when you turn the handlebars, luggage mounted to this block will always remain directly in front of the Brompton. The luggage block also lowers the height of the load you are carrying, lowering your center of gravity. These 2 unique factors result in a more stable ride and better performance.

C Bag
This messenger style bag is my personal favorite. Sized between the S Bag and the T Bag, it offers a wealth of space for clothing, water, snacks, tools, papers, etc.; yet is easy to tote over the shoulder. There are 4 water resistant external pockets, an external mesh pocket, a clear vinyl pocket beneath the main flap (for business cards), a brightly lined central compartment divided by yet another zippered pocket, a wide, padded shoulder strap that will not dig into your shoulder and a high visibility, yellow, rain resistant cover. The main compartment cover is secured by 2 sturdy and adjustable snap buckles as well as long and wide swatches of velcro. The C Bag's capacity is 25 liters and measures 420cm wide x 300cm high x 170cm deep.

Eazy Wheels
Eazy Wheels are soft rubber roller wheels which roll more readily and last longer than the standard issue hard plastic roller wheels that Brompton offers for no additional charge. Eazy Wheels are ideal for commuting as they make the bikes roll with less friction when folded, allowing you to pull your Brompton through the halls of your office, apartment building, university, transit station, etc. with ease. Since the "R" type has a rear rack, 4 Eazy Wheels are fitted, making the bike even more stable when rolled about folded.
